The signs will be made of rigid, high quality, high grade aluminum, exceeding the quality standards required for most street signs.  They will be approximately 18” by 32”, designed to match the standard stock inventory provided by the manufacturer.  They will be painted with a white reflective background with red and blue lettering and trim.  They will be readable and attractive.

The signs come with a sturdy & attractive black bracket, suitable for banding to a streetlight fixture, as shown to the right.  The bracket can be easily removed without any damage to the light pole.  The semi-permanent bracket allows for the signs to be easily attached and removed.  The sign will be adequately wind resistant.  This allows for the sign to be easily exchanged, allowing for honoree status changes.

Once an individual has been nominated and approved, the local sign coordinator will order the appropriate sign.  The brackets become the property of the local community.  The sign will remain the property of the local committee until it is removed and given to the honoree and his/her family.  The signs will be taken down upon completion of active duty.  The local sign coordinator will be responsible for production, proofing, delivery, and payment of fees.
