 The Avenue of Honor® Community Recognition Program
has been created to honor some of the most dedicated and courageous young people
on the planet. A good number of our sons and daughters have answered the call,
and are now actively serving our country in the military. We want to make
certain that they are not forgotten. This program was conceived and developed
by a grassroots community of ordinary citizens. This is not a political movement,
designed to either support or condemn war. It is a concerted and public effort
to recognize some very special young people, their special contributions, humanity,
and unique value. We want them to know they are held in a special place of
honor. They are.... our sons, our daughters, our husbands and wives, our neighbors
and friends.
